Seven Steps To Success

 Seven Steps To Success

1. Take immediate action.

Write down everything you want to be different in your life from this moment on. As a guide I have listed some topics below use these if you want to but be sure to add lots of your own. Don’t rationalize just write.

• be in control of my life
• live with less stress
• not feeling guilty about saying no
• doing more of what I do want to do
• doing less of what I don’t want to do
• be better at managing my time
• feel happy and joyful
• enjoy life to the full
• make the most of opportunities
• have more confidence
• have work life balance
• have more energy
• have inner peace

2. Create the change.

To get different results you will need to think and act differently. Remember “if you do what you’ve always done you’ll get what you’ve always got”. Write down 10 ways you can be a different person today, one that will do and have the things you wrote down in your list from step 1. Examples would be: Continue Reading »

The Qualities of Skillful Leadership

The Qualities of Skillful Leadership

If you want to be a leader who attracts quality people, the key is to become a person of quality yourself. Leadership is the ability to attract someone to the gifts, skills, and opportunities you offer as an owner, as a manager, as a parent. I call leadership the great challenge of life.

What’s important in leadership is refining your skills. All great leaders keep working on themselves until they become effective. Here are some specifics:MLM Leader

1) Learn to be strong but not rude.

It is an extra step you must take to become a powerful, capable leader with a wide range of reach. Some people mistake rudeness for strength. It’s not even a good substitute.

2) Learn to be kind but not weak.

We must not mistake kindness for weakness. Kindness isn’t weak. Kindness is a certain type of strength. We must be kind enough to tell somebody the truth. We must be kind enough and considerate enough to lay it on the line. We must be kind enough to tell it like it is and not deal in delusion.

3) Learn to be bold but not a bully.

It takes boldness to win the day. To build your influence, you’ve got to walk in front of your group. You’ve got to be willing to take the first arrow, tackle the first problem, discover the first sign of trouble.

4) You’ve got to learn to be humble, but not timid.

You can’t get to the high life by being timid. Some people mistake timidity for humility. Humility is almost a God-like word. A sense of awe. A sense of wonder. An awareness of the human soul and spirit. An understanding that there is something unique about the human drama versus the rest of life. Humility is a grasp of the distance between us and the stars, yet having the feeling that we’re part of the stars. So humility is a virtue; but timidity is a disease. Timidity is an affliction. It can be cured, but it is a problem.

5) Be proud but not arrogant.

It takes pride to win the day. It takes pride to build your ambition. It takes pride in community. It takes pride in cause, in accomplishment. But the key to becoming a good leader is being proud without being arrogant. In fact I believe the worst kind of arrogance is arrogance from ignorance. It’s when you don’t know that you don’t know. Now that kind of arrogance is intolerable. If someone is smart and arrogant, we can tolerate that. But if someone is ignorant and arrogant, that’s just too much to take.

6) Develop humor without folly.

That’s important for a leader. In leadership, we learn that it’s okay to be witty, but not silly. It’s okay to be fun, but not foolish.

Lastly, deal in realities. Deal in truth. Save yourself the agony. Just accept life like it is. Life is unique. Some people call it tragic, but I’d like to think it’s unique. The whole drama of life is unique. It’s fascinating. And I’ve found that the skills that work well for one leader may not work at all for another. But the fundamental skills of leadership can be adapted to work well for just about everyone: at work, in the community, and at home.

Attitude Is Everything…

Attitude is Everything…

The process of human change begins within us. We all have tremendous potential. We all desire good results from our efforts. Most of us are willing to work hard and to pay the price that success and happiness demand.

Each of us has the ability to put our unique human potential into action and to acquire a desired result. But the one thing that determines the level of our potential, that produces the intensity of our activity, and predicts the quality of the result we receive is our attitude.

Positive AttitudeAttitude determines how much of the future we are allowed to see. It decides the size of our dreams and influences our determination when we are faced with new challenges. No other person on earth has dominion over our attitude. People can affect our attitude by teaching us poor thinking habits or unintentionally misinforming us or providing us with negative sources of influence, but no one can control our attitude unless we voluntarily surrender that control.

No one else “makes us angry.” We make ourselves angry when we surrender control of our attitude. What someone else may have done is irrelevant. We choose, not they. They merely put our attitude to a test. If we select a volatile attitude by becoming hostile, angry, jealous or suspicious, then we have failed the test. If we condemn ourselves by believing that we are unworthy, then again, we have failed the test.

If we care at all about ourselves, then we must accept full responsibility for our own feelings. We must learn to guard against those feelings that have the capacity to lead our attitude down the wrong path and to strengthen those feelings that can lead us confidently into a better future.

If we want to receive the rewards the future holds in trust for us, then we must exercise the most important choice given to us as members of the human race by maintaining total dominion over our attitude. Our attitude is an asset, a treasure of great value, which must be protected accordingly. Beware of the vandals and thieves among us who would injure our positive attitude or seek to steal it away.

Having the right attitude is one of the basics that success requires. The combination of a sound personal philosophy and a positive attitude about ourselves and the world around us gives us an inner strength and a firm resolve that influences all the other areas of our existence.

The Struggles Of Being An Entrepreneur In The Network Marketing Industry

This article was written by my friend and business partner Jordan Adler. When I first read it almost two years ago, it literally caused me to well up as I could completely identify with Jordan’s words.

We’ve all experienced the struggles to some degree.

This folks, is why we do the things we do and make the sacrifices necessary to succeed in our industry. Enjoy!

Being An Entrepreneur

Being an Entrepreneur is tough but it has great rewards. Successful entrepreneurs call their own shots. They can make as much money as they want to. They can work as much or as little as they want to.

They get to exercise their creativity. They can work alone or with a team. They get to create their future . . .

As an Entrepreneur, I have been able to do things that 17 years in Corporate America wouldn’t afford me. I have traveled the world in private jets. I’ve eaten at the finest restaurants where each person dropped $500 per plate. I have friends in all 50 states and many around the world.

I’ve rented private yachts and cruised the canals in Amsterdam with over 50 people. I’ve stayed in Castles in Scotland, Drank beer in the pubs in Ireland and took a tour of Iceland.

Being an Entrepreneur has allowed me to live my dream life in the Mountains of Arizona where the air is mountain fresh and the hummingbirds buzz around my deck in the morning as I drink coffee as the cool morning breezes blow in from the valley.

Being an Entrepreneur is great. Its really great. But its also got some challenges and a price tag. Its a small price in retrospect, but when you are paying for it can be overwhelming.

Sometimes, in fact, many times, you question whether its worth it. Wondering whether you can pay the bills next month. Taking calculated risks knowing that things might not go in your favor. Risking bankruptcy. Losing some friendships (and even family) that never quite understand you. Losing Sleep. Stressing out. Wondering. Imagining. Creating.

It takes very special and rare qualities to succeed as an Entrepreneur. You do it even though you know some don’t make it. You do it knowing that you might not make it.

But you do it anyway, because you want the freedom it can give you. You want to control your destiny. You want pride of ownership. You want to be recognized. You don’t want to be told what to do. You want to make a difference.

Jordan Adler

Jordan Adler makes His Beach Money With Send Out CardsJordan just released his first book entitled ‘Beach Money‘ on March 9, which was his 50th birthday.

If you’re looking for some inspiration, as well as the road map to success in our industry that we teach to our team, head on over to amazon, and pick up a copy. 100% of the profits from the book are going to charity. I assure you there will be tons of nuggets you can cling on to throughout your read.

Please comment on the article above if you feel inspired or even Jordan’s book if you already had a chance to pick up your copy.

Are You Fooling Yourself About Network Marketing and MLM?

The Real Problem with Network Marketing and Multi-Level Marketing ( MLM )

HINT: It’s not the business model itself

It never ceases to amaze me the extreme polar views on the topic of network marketing and MLM. Some people are passionate about it in the extreme, and there are even top celebrity authors like Robert Allen, Mark Victor Hansen, and Robert Kiyosaki doing it and advocating it. Yet, in many circles, you might as well declare yourself a leper as admit to being in network marketing.

So, what is the problem with MLM and network marketing?

Network Marketing Salesman

Maybe it’s the pyramid structure? But you can’t really take issue with the tiered compensation structure—almost every large sales organization in the world has that. Salespeople get commission, and sales managers get overrides or bonuses on top of that, and sales directors on top of that, and VPs on top of that. Or maybe it’s the fact that you have to pay to participate in it? But that can’t be it—that’s a standard franchising model. And I assure you, the franchise fee of most traditional franchises dwarf the sign-up cost of any MLM program by comparison. Continue Reading »

MLM And Network Marketing Are All About Relationships

network of peopleYou may or may not have heard this before, but I firmly believe it to be true.

Most people in this wonderful industry of ours, myself included, feel we have the best product out there. It is crucial to your network marketing success though, to understand that your product is not really your product… Huh? Say what Todd?

That’s right. Your product is not your actual product, your product is PEOPLE!

You MUST understand this if you have any real attainable expectations of having success in this industry. You need to be able to relate to, and understand people and what makes them tick.

No one appreciates a sales pitch unless they distinctly asked for it, especially in the year 2008. We see a trillion ads a day, they’re everywhere.

We have been so desensitized to any sales pitch, and most are blatantly obvious. What used to work in network marketing has been long gone. You’ve seen it yourself, try talking to a prospect about your opportunity the way you used to.

I’ll bet you can hear the wind coming off their hand as they reach to cover their wallet with lightning speed at the mere mentioning of residual income or time freedom!

Forget it! You’ll get nowhere fast if you stay stuck in the old ways that used to work and that you may even still be being taught by your upline. Continue Reading »

Welcome to my blog!

Published by Todd under Network Marketing Training

Hello and thank you for reading my blog! My name is Todd Schager and I am a network marketing trainer, coach and mentor. My expertise is in teaching others to get through their barriers to have success in our incredible industry and to achieve the freedom that everyone deserves.

Todd SchagerIt is my hope that this will be your first of many visits to my site as it is my mission to provide you with valuable articles, tips, tools, and videos that can help you take your network marketing business to levels you’ve only previously dreamed of.

I teach others how to create, and then nurture their relationships to build a strong network, and I hope to build a long term relationship with you as well.

My philosophy is that as people first and marketers second, we must provide value before we can ever possibly expect or wish for anything in return.

In this new media rich web 2.0 environment, things have changed tremendously. Blogs, Social Networking sites, Social Bookmarking, Video sharing sites, and the like have truly leveled the playing field so that anyone can compete and now prosper. With these new tools, Network Marketing has evolved and while some of the more traditional ways of doing things can still be effective, adopting a new media strategy can explode your business faster than you ever thought possible.

If we understand the way consumer psychology has evolved, due to the overwhelming amount of ads that we’re inundated with and desensitized to, and how to utilize the new media tools that are available to us, incredible success can be achieved.

So again, thanks for visiting and I look forward to walking with you on your journey to achieving the dreams and goals that you have put forth for yourself.

Until Next Time,
